Posted by Jaimie C. Burke on Oct 29, 2019 11:07:00 AM

It’s news that is quickly becoming a real concern for many MedTech manufacturers: support for Windows 7 is coming to an end in January 2020. This change is forcing many in the industry to upgrade their medical devices to allow for continued operation.

In 2015, Microsoft ended support for Windows 7. When this happened, many manufacturers purchased the extended support that will no longer be accessible as of January 14, 2020.

Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion: Hispanic Heritage Month

Posted by Jaimie C. Burke on Oct 15, 2019 12:15:00 PM
Here at Novasyte Health, an IQVIA™ company, we are proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. We take this time to reflect on the contributions of American citizens whose ancestors hail from Mexico, Spain, Central and South America, and more.

Why does it start in the middle of September? September 15 is a special date because it marks the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries like El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Mexico, Chile and Belize also honor their independence days during this period. The celebration of Hispanic Heritage Week started in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover the full month.

Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion: Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Posted by Jaimie C. Burke on May 30, 2019 3:29:16 PM
Here at Novasyte Health, an IQVIA™ company, we are proud to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

First celebrated for a week in 1979 and later extended to a month in 1990, the month of May was chosen as a tribute to the first Japanese immigrants who came to the U.S. on May 7, 1843 and to mark the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869.

Much of our country's history is shaped by immigrants from Asia and the Pacific, which includes all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia (New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji and the Solomon Islands), Micronesia (Marianas, Guam, Wake Island, Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia) and Polynesia (New Zealand, Hawaiian Islands, Rotuma, Midway Islands, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Easter Island). This month is a reminder to recognize their achievements and contributions to America.
