Novasyte was honored to host 18 veterans in our headquarters on Thursday, November 30 for a special Re-Careering Event in partnership with MVPvets, a local non-profit organization that assists and prepares transitioning military veterans for meaningful employment in life science companies.
The event brought transitioning military together with mentors from the med-tech industry. Attendees participated in active one-on-one mentoring, industry-specific training, eLearning enrollment, and personal engagement with hiring managers and human resource professionals.
"It was an honor to connect with the veterans and learn not only about their service and contributions to our country, but also their goals and aspirations for the next chapter of their careers," said Lisa Rood, Director of Human Resources at Novasyte. "A rich, rewarding dialogue took place regarding how the skill sets of these highly-talented individuals could transfer to potential roles in corporate America. It was a learning and growing experience for everyone who attended and I look forward to partnering on additional initiatives in the future."
